Our annual Halloween Fancy Dress takes place in the school this Friday (October 24th). We would like to invite parents/guardians to the hall on Friday morning from 9.10a.m. to 10.00a.m. to see the Fancy Dress. Each class will also perform a song or poem on the ‘Oiche Shamhna’ theme. We hope the children get into the Halloween spirit and dress up in a costume for the day.
On Friday, also, we will be judging the ‘Pumpkin’ competition. We would encourage the children, with help from their parents, to design and decorate a pumpkin at home this week. The children can bring in the designed pumpkins on Friday morning. There will be a small prize for the most imaginatively designed pumpkin in each class. The children should write their names on a piece of paper and place it inside the pumpkin.
School closes on Friday (October 24th ) for all classes at 1.40p.m. Basketball after school with Kelvin doesn’t go ahead this week. There is no Credit Union this Friday either. Please note there is a school bus. School reopens after the Halloween break on Monday (November 3rd).
On Thursday last every child brought home an order form from Circus Photography for the whole school group photograph if you wish to order a copy please send €12.00 to the school in the envelope provided as soon as possible. Junior Infants also received an order form for their class photograph and also details of how to view and order their individual/family photographs on the Circus Photography website.
We have a number of jumpers, cardigans and a tracksuit top in the office which have no names on them. Please call in if you are missing one of these items.
