Our girls’ football team are Meath Champions after a tense and dramatic victory against Drumbaragh in Páirc Tailteann yesterday. Courage, resilience and determination won out on the day and we are all very proud of their achievement which they will remember for many, many years to come.

Congratulations to Emily, Georgiana, Katie, Isabelle, Aoibhinn, Rosie, Ella Stevie, Faye, Leila, Mia, Lucy, Jane, Jessica, Sophie K., Sophie C., Eve and Nicola.

We had heroes all over the pitch and we congratulate Stevie for winning the Spirit Of The Final Award.

Thanks to Ms. O’Donoghue for training the team this year (and to Ms. Reynolds for all her coaching of the team over the last few years). Ms.O’Donoghue brought the girls to Burger King which the girls thoroughly deserved.

There was a celebratory mood in school today as all the children in the school assembled in the school hall with the winning team. A big thanks to the Parents’ Association for organising treats and refreshments for the children.
