Girls Football Final 

Our girls’ football team are Meath Champions after a tense and dramatic victory against Drumbaragh in Páirc Tailteann yesterday. Courage, resilience and determination won out on the day and we are all very proud of their achievement which they will remember for many, many years to come. 

Congratulations to Emily, Georgiana, Katie, Isabelle, Aoibhinn, Rosie, Ella Stevie, Faye, Leila, Mia, Lucy, Jane, Jessica, Sophie K., Sophie C., Eve and Nicola. 

We had heroes all over the pitch and we congratulate Stevie for winning the Spirit Of The Final Award. 

Thanks to Ms. O’Donoghue for training the team this year (and to Ms. Reynolds for all her coaching of the team over the last few years). Ms.O’Donoghue brought the girls to Burger King which the girls thoroughly deserved. 

There was a celebratory mood in school today as all the children in the school assembled in the school hall with the winning team. A big thanks to the Parents’ Association for organising treats and refreshments for the children. 

We thank everyone who travelled to Navan on Sunday to cheer on the team. This was really appreciated by the girls. 

Parent Teacher Meetings. 

The school will close at 1.00p.m. this Thursday (23rd) and Friday (24th) for Parent/Teacher meetings. The times of the meetings have been written in the childrens’ journal. If you did not get a time please contact the school. Each meeting will last10 minutes and we ask parents/guardians to please be punctual. 

On Thursday and Friday there will be a school bus at 1.00p.m. 

Badminton 

Badminton lessons, with Teresa continues this Wednesday. If you haven’t paid the €5.00 please do so as soon as possible. (in an envelope with your child’s name on it). 

School Closure 

The school is closed on Friday December 15th to facilitate an in – service day for the new Maths Curriculum.
