A Thuisti,

Return to School Declaration Form

If your child is absent from school for whatever reason the Return to School Declaration Form must be sent into the school on the day before returning. This form can be found on the textaparent link we sent you a couple of weeks ago or on the school website. It is very easy to use on the school website. Click on the link. Fill out the form and submit. This shouldn’t take any longer than 60 seconds.

School Crest Art Work

Róisín will be starting the school crest art work at the front of the school hall over the next few days. We are really excited about this unique piece of artwork. We thank Róisín for giving her time to complete this project.

Sixth Class Graduation

With Covid-19, unfortunately, nothing is certain! Last week the Department of Education and Skills gave schools updated information about 6th class graduation. This allows the hosting of the graduation but does not facilitate the attendance of parents/guardians or other family members. This is a major disappointment to families and to us as teachers. If there is a change to this we will let you know immediately.

Calculators

The children in 4th, 5th and 6th classes are allowed to use calculators for some sections of their standardised tests in maths. All children in these classes should bring a calculator to school with their name on it. We will be practising using calculators during maths lessons so your child will need his/her own calculator from tomorrow onwards.

Literacy Lift Off

Junior and Senior Infants will start Literacy Lift Off this week.
