‘100 Touch Challenge’
Fionn (6th Class) will be representing the school in the “100 Touch Challenge” on March 15th in Dunganny at 4.00p.m. and we wish him well as he competes against pupils in all schools in Meath. Last Friday the boys and girls in 5th and 6th class competed against each other against the clock whilst performing a variety of Gaelic Football skills. In a very closely fought competition Fionn was victorious. Well done Fionn.
International Women’s Day
This Wednesday is International Women’s Day. The aim of International Women’s Day is to help children of all ages and all genders to find inspiration and courage from diverse women role models. We will be doing a variety of activities over the course of the week to promote International Women’s Day.
First Aid
The children in all classes will be having a First Aid lesson this Friday in the school. Members from the local First Responders Team will go through basic first aid with the children.
7-a-side Gaelic Football Blitz
The girls’ 7-a-side blitz will take place on Monday March 13th. We will inform parents/guardians of the venue and time as soon as we get it from the organisers.
The boys’ 7-a-side blitz takes place on Wednesday March 15th. Venue and time has not been confirmed yet.
Ceilí
We will be having a Ceilí for the children in school on March 15th to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. All children will be going home at 1.40p.m. on March 15th.
Computers
The third computer lesson with Colm takes place this Wednesday. The final lesson is on Monday March 13th. A few families have still to pay the €5.00. Please put the money in an envelope with your child’s name on it.
Confirmation
Congratulations to our 6th class pupils on receiving their Confirmation last Tuesday. Thanks to Ms. O’ Donoghue for preparing the children so well. Thanks to everyone who brought food and refreshments to Skryne hall and to everyone from Rathfeigh Parents’ Association who helped out in the hall.
First Confession
The children in 2nd class will have their First Confession in Rathfeigh Church on Wednesday March 22nd at 7.00p.m.
