10th January 2022.

A Thuisti,

Happy New Year

We wish everyone in the Rathfeigh school community a happy and safe 2022. Although the cloud of Covid 19 continues to linger in our society we still look forward with optimism to an enjoyable and productive year in the school. As I mentioned in the e-mail to parents/guardians last Wednesday the next few weeks will be challenging with many pupils absent due to contracting Covid or being a ‘close contact’ We could also have staffing issues as there is a severe lack of substitute teachers available at the moment. Unfortunately, we can’t rule out classes being sent home for Health & Safety reasons if substitute teachers aren’t available. Since March 2020 when the pandemic began we have received great support from parents/guardians. We would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding as we continue to have an effective school during difficult times. We would also like to thank the children. Their patience and resilience has been excellent for which they deserve great credit.
