We have our annual Book Fair in the school hall this week from November 13th to 15th. Parents will be able to visit the fair from 8.45a.m. – 9.15a.m., 1.30p.m. – 2.00p.m. and 2.30p.m. – 3.00p.m. . If there are any parents who are able to help out taking orders at any of these times please let Helen know. To coincide with the Book Fair we will have an assembly on Thursday. The children will bring their favourite books with them to the assembly and also dress up in their favourite character from that book.
We would like to thank the Parents’ Association for their large contribution towards the purchase of science equipment. Sixth class have already used the equipment in their electricity projects which they presented to all classes last week.
Literacy Lift Off meeting for parents of second class pupils takes place tomorrow Tuesday November 12th at 1.50p.m.
Ms. Cullinane starts in Rathfeigh on Thursday as part-time Resource Teacher with St. Mary’s Convent N.S. Trim. She will be teaching two days a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). We wish her success in her time in Rathfeigh.
Third, Fourth and Fifth classes have swimming lessons for another five weeks in Navan Swimming Pool. We think that the children in these classes are old enough not to require parental assistance at the Swimming Pool. If a class teacher is absent when the children are going swimming we would require assistance from a parent.
The children who had their photographs taken last week by Circus Photography are bringing home details of how their photographs can be viewed and ordered on their website. All orders must be placed by Friday November 15th.
There is a Board of Management meeting this Thursday.
