A Thuisti,

Gaelic Football

Our Girls’ Gaelic football team are playing in Skryne this Thursday against Killyon at 1.00p.m. They will be leaving the school at 12.35p.m. Please organise a lift for your child if you can’t attend yourself. The girls are through to the quarter-final but a win would result in them going through automatically to the semi-final.

The boys’ football team are already through to the semi-final and don’t have a game this week.

Parents’ Association A.G.M.

I have been invited to attend the Parents’ Association A.G.M. on October 11th at 7.30p.m. in the school. A vibrant Parents’ Association is vital for our school. We are expecting a big turnout. We hope that at least one member of each household is present on the night.

Ashbourne Library

The children in Juniors to Second class will be visiting Ashbourne Library this Friday as part of the Meath Children’s Book Festival. The author Gerry Daly will be giving the workshop.

The children are going by bus and the cost is €8.00. If you haven’t already paid for the bus please send in money in an envelope with your child’s name on class on it.

Computers

The third of four computer lessons with Colm takes place this Tuesday. A large number of families have yet to pay. Please send in the money (€8.00 per child) by Wednesday (11th) with your child’s name and class on the envelope.

Swimming

Swimming continues for the children in 3rd to 6th class this Tuesday. A small number of families have yet to pay. Please pay via the Aladdin App this week if you haven’t done so already.

Jersey Day (World Cup Quarter Final)

To celebrate Ireland’s great achievement of reaching the World Cup quarter-final we will have a Jersey Day this Friday ahead of this Saturdays huge match against the All Blacks. We would like the children to wear an Ireland jersey if they have one. If not any jersey or green tee shirt will do.

Art & Craft Homework Journal Insurance

There are still some families who haven’t paid for the above items. We would like to have all outstanding payments made before the mid-term break at the latest. If you are finding it difficult to pay the overdue items please contact the school and we can arrange weekly payments etc.

Is mise,

Seamus Tansley.
