A Thuisti,
Vision and Hearing Screening
The Junior Infants were given consent forms today for Vision & Hearing screening. Parents/guardians must fill out these forms and return them to the school this week. The screening will take place in the school. We don’t have the date yet.
Boys/Girls Gaelic Football
A big well done to our Boys’ and Girls’ gaelic football teams. They both won their games last week and are undefeated this year. Thanks to Ms. Reynolds and Teresa for training the girls team.
Our boys are playing tomorrow in Culmullen at 1.30p.m. We are leaving the school at 12.50p.m.
Reminder: For all gaelic football games (Boys and Girls) it’s the responsibility of parents/guardians to organise lifts for your child if you can’t be in attendance yourself. It is not the responsibility of the school to do this.
Gaelic Football Training
Teresa will continue to train all classes in the skills of gaelic football during school on Wednesdays. The children are really enjoying it. Some children who have never trained for gaelic football are showing great aptitude and are progressing really well.
Computer & Yoga classes
Computer classes will commence this Thursday during school for four weeks. The cost for four lessons is €5.00
Yoga classes for all pupils start Wednesday for four weeks. The cost for four lessons is €5. Please send in €10.00 (Computers/Yoga) in an envelope as soon as possible.
National Fitness
National Fitness Day is this Thursday. Keeping fit is good for the mind as well as the body. As parents/guardians we should ensure that our children have at least 30 minutes physical exercise daily. We hope to have some fun activities during school on Thursday.
‘I remember when’
In June we published the book ‘I remember when’ which was a collection of the children’s memories of their time in Rathfeigh. These books are still on sale for €10.00 and are available from the office.
Board of Management Meeting
There is a Board of Management meeting in the school tomorrow evening.
ALDI Rugby Promotion
We are taking part in the ALDI rugby world cup promotion again this year. When you spend €30.00 or more in ALDI you will be given a rugby sticker. Please bring in the stickers to school. The two winning schools will win €50,000 to develop their playing facilities. Ten other schools will win €10,000 to develop their playing facilities. If you’re not in you can’t win !!

This week’s is Dia duit, Dia is Muire duit (Hello) Conas tá tú? ( How are you) Tá mé go maith.
Is mise,
