A Thuisti,

Gaelic Football

Our boys’ gaelic team are through to the Cumann na mBunscoil final. They defeated Carnaross in the semi final last Friday and will now play Kilbride (Trim) in the final.

We wish the girls the best of luck in their semi-final against Oristown this Thursday. The game will be played in Gibbstown at 1.40p.m. We will be leaving the school at 12.40p.m.

Eddie Mc Cormack will be visiting the school this Thursday to train all classes in the skills of gaelic football.

Standardised Tests

The children in First to Sixth classes will be doing standardised tests next week in Irish, English and Maths (28th May – 31st May).

To celebrate the retirements of Mrs Mc Auley and Mrs Long we will be having a Mass in Rathfeigh Church at 10.00a.m. on Friday 22nd June. On this day the children go directly to the church at 10.00a.m. There will be food and refreshments for parents/guardians in the school hall afterwards. We intend to finish at 1.00p.m. on June 22nd.

Fire Safety

The children in Third and Fourth classes were visited last week by firemen from Ashbourne Fire Brigade. One of the biggest messages from the firemen is that all households should a Fire Plan which needs to be discussed with all members of the households. We had a fire drill in the school today.
