A Thuisti,
Our sixth class pupils celebrated their Confirmation yesterday. It was a fantastic day and the children showed great maturity in saying their prayers, singing, and bringing up the gifts. A big thanks to Fionnuala Gryson for organising the choir and to Ms. O’Donoghue for preparing our children. A huge thanks, also, to everyone who gave of their time to sing in the choir. The children who sang in the choir have no homework tonight. We also thank all the parents/guardians who helped out in the hall afterwards.
This Sunday (April 2nd) is a huge day for our school. Our Under 11 Quiz Team are taking part in the All-Ireland Credit Union Quiz Final in the RDS Dublin. We are exceptionally proud of their achievements. To get to the final out of 3,300 competing schools is fantastic. We wish Anna, Billy, Bryn and Conor the best of luck on Sunday and we hope they enjoy their big day. A huge thanks to Mrs Vaughan for all the preparation over the last few months.
Pupils in Second class will receive their First Confession sacrament on Wednesday (March 29th) in Rathfeigh Church at 7.30p.m.
Our Boys’ Gaelic Football team are playing Dunderry tomorrow (March 28th) in Skryne at 2.00p.m. We will be leaving the school at 1.45p.m. We need help with lifts.
Our Girls’ Gaelic Football team are playing Coole in Skryne on Wednesday (March 29th) at 1.30p.m. We are leaving the school at 1.15p.m. We need help with lifts.
