Enrolment for September 2023

We are currently accepting applications from parents/guardians of children starting school in September. If your child is starting school in September please send in an Enrolment Form to the school as soon as possible. Enrolment Forms can be downloaded from the school website or from the office. The closing date for receipt of applications is March 1st.

We are having an Open Week from January 30th to February 3rd. Parents/Guardians are welcome to visit the school at any time during Open Week. Please e-mail or phone the school to make an appointment.

Science-in-a-Box

The ten week Science-in-a-Box programme started today for 5th/6th class. The programme this year will focus on Biology. We thank Eimear Moffat for sponsoring the programme.

MMR abd 4-1 Vaccinations

The Junior Infants will get their MMR and 4-1 vaccination in the school on Monday January 30th.

Tara & District Credit Union Quiz

We have six teams participating in the Tara & District Credit Union Quiz which will take place in Skryne School hall on Monday January 30th at 6.30p.m. We wish all the teams the best of luck in the quiz. Thanks to Mrs Vaughan for co-ordinating the quiz teams in our school.

Badminton Coaching

The children in all classes will have badminton coaching during school with Teresa Mangan for five weeks starting tomorrow. The cost of the five lessons is €5.00 per child. Please send in the money in an envelope with your child’s name and class on it.

Catholic Schools Week

We will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week this week which will culminate with an assembly on Friday to discuss learning activities during the week.

Gaelic Coaching

Gaelic football coaching with Liam O’Grady took place today and will continue for another five weeks.

ALDI / IRFU Rugby

Aldi is bringing back their Aldi Play Rugby Sticker Promotion.

If you spend €25 or more in ALDI you will be given a sticker (16th January to 23rd April ). The sticker should be brought into the school. We have to collect 300 stickers. If we collect 300 stickers we will be in a draw to win €50,000 and ten schools will get €5000 each to improve their playing facilities in the school. All schools who participate will get rugby balls, bag and water bottles.
