Badminton 6th Class
The sixth class pupils are playing in a badminton tournament in Trim GAA this Thursday. They must be in Trim at 9.30a.m. They will be finished at 2.00p.m. They will be leaving the school at 9.00a.m. If you cannot bring your own child to Trim please arrange a lift with another parent/guardian.
GAA Training
Liam O’ Grady will be visiting the school on Tuesdays (for 7 weeks) for Gaelic Football training with all classes.
Badminton
Teresa Mangan will be visiting the school on Wednesdays (for 5 weeks) to do badminton training with the children in all classes. The cost of these lessons is €5.00 per child. Please send in the money in an envelope with your child’s name on it as soon as possible.
Science –in-a-Box
The children in 5th/6th classes will be starting the 10 week Science-in-a-Box programme in school next week. The pupils will be visited by a scientist for the ten week period. Thanks to Eimear Moffat for sponsoring the programme again this year.
Credit Union Quiz
The Tara & District Credit Union Quiz will take place in Skryne school hall on Monday January 30th at 6.30p.m. Mrs Vaughan who is co-ordinating the quiz for us, has entered six teams (4 Under 13 teams and 2 Under 11 teams). We wish the children the best of luck as they prepare for the quiz over the next few weeks.
School Closure
The school is closed on Monday February 6th as per the school calendar.
Board of Management Meeting
There is a Board of Management meeting in the school this evening.
