A Thuisti,
The Sixth class pupils had their Confirmation yesterday in Skryne Church. It was a lovely ceremony and we were lucky that the sun shone down on us for the day. We are very proud of all the pupils and we hope they enjoyed the day celebrating with their families. I would like to thank all the children who sang in the choir. They sang beautifully and it really enhanced the ceremony. A big thanks to Ms. O’Donoghue for preparing our children so well for the choir. A big thanks also to our Parents’ Association who organised the food and refreshments in the hall afterwards and their stewarding of the car park.
The next big day which is fast approaching is the First Communion in Rathfeigh Church on Saturday May 9th at 11.00a.m. We wish all the children in Second class the best of luck in their preparations over the next two weeks.
This week is Active Schools Week. Each day the children will be doing fun activities. They must wear their tracksuits to school all this week.
The school is closed on Friday (May 1st) and Monday (May 4th) for the May Bank Holiday. The children will be back in school on Tuesday May 5th.
We have three tracksuits tops with no names which were left in the playground last week. If your child is missing one please call into the office. We ask parents/guardians to put names on tracksuit tops/jumpers/cardigans.
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
