The children in Fourth and Fifth classes who are singing in the choir have two practices this week Tuesday 9.30 – 11.00a.m. (leaving the school at 9.20) Thursday 1.30 – 2.30p.m. ( leaving the school at 1.20p.m.). We will need help with lifts on both days.
The pupils in Third and Fourth classes have completed projects on ‘Countries’. They visited classes last Friday to show their projects. They are of a very high standard. These projects will be on display this week outside Mrs Campbell’s room. Parents are invited into the school to see these projects at any time.
Next week is Active Schools Week. This initiative from the Department of Education is about providing fun and physical activity opportunities for all the pupils in the school. We want to try and reinforce the message that physical activity is good for children but also very enjoyable. All classes will have opportunities each day next week to take part in fun physical activities. The children must wear their school tracksuit all next week.
All children will go home tomorrow at 1.40p.m. to facilitate a staff meeting. There is no bus at 1.40p.m.
The school is closed on May 1st (Friday) and May 4th (Monday) for the May Bank Holiday weekend.
