A Thuisti,
Our school has been selected to select a girl to play at an exhibition match at half-time in the Meath/Armagh Senior Football game in Páirc Tailteann this Saturday (March 1st). We have chosen Ailish in sixth class to represent our school. We wish Ailish the best of luck on Saturday evening and hope she enjoys the experience. If you happen to be at the game please give her your support and encouragement.
Tuesday March 4th is Shrove Tuesday. We have a tradition in the school whereby sixth class pupils make pancakes for all pupils in the school. We need a number of parents to help out on Pancake Tuesday from 9.15a.m. to 10.30a.m. If you can help on the morning please let Helen know. We will need a few plug in pans for making the pancakes. Please, also, let us know if your child is not to get a pancake.
During the summer holidays the Board of Management sent a letter to all parents/guardians regarding the voluntary contribution. The Board of Management is very appreciative of the efforts made by parents/guardians in paying the first voluntary contribution in October. The second contribution of €70.00 is due on March 3rd. Cheques should be made payable to “The Board of Management Rathfeigh N.S.”.
Second class pupils will receive their First Confession in Rathfeigh Church on Tuesday April 8th at 7.30p.m.
The Credit Union will be in the school this Friday (February 28th).
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
