A Thuisti,

New Caretaker

Our caretaker, John is finishing up in Rathfeigh N.S. this week. John has spent eight happy years in our school and we are sad and disappointed that he is leaving. John was multi-talented and no job was ever too difficult for him. The staff and children will miss him terribly as he always had a smile and a friendly word when the children came into the school in the mornings. On behalf of the Board of  Management , staff and children we would like to wish John happiness and success in his new job in Ratoath. We will be making a presentation to John at 10.00a.m. on Friday after the Halloween Fancy Dress. We are asking all pupils to donate €2.00 each for a present for John. Please send in the money in an envelope before Wednesday.

Hallowen Fancy Dress

Our annual Halloween Fancy Dress takes place this Thursday. We are inviting parents/guardians to the school hall for 9.15a.m. to 10.00a.m. All classes will be performing short poems/songs.  On Thursday morning we ask parents/guardians to help their children bring their pumpkins into the hall as they may be quite heavy. All pumpkins must be collected by parents/guardians at 1.40p.m. The school is closing on Thursday at 1.40 for all children. There is a school bus at 1.40p.m.

Healthy lunches are optional on Thursday. Reminder we are a ‘nut free’ school as some pupils have life threatening allergies to nuts.

The school is closed from Monday 29th October to Friday 2nd November for mid-term break.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Halloween. School re-opens after Halloween on Monday 5th November.

Is mise,

Seamus Tansley.
