Imlitir 5

1st October, 2012.

A Thuisti,

The non – uniform day on Friday was very successful. The children really enjoyed the freedom of wearing casual clothes. I want to thank everyone who contributed. We collected € 254.94 and this will be given to Kayleigh Farrell (ex pupil of Rathfeigh) who is volunteering to work in an orphanage in Kenya. We wish her success on her trip.

For the next five weeks we have a coach from Skryne G.F.C. who will take the children for gaelic football skills and games. All the children from Junior Infants to Sixth class will be taking part. This will be part of the P.E. curriculum for these weeks. Please remind the children to wear their tracksuit and runners to school on Fridays.

Each year, we ask all parents for their permission for the children to participate in certain activities. Please read the Parental Permission Form and tick the relevant boxes and return the form to us as soon as possible.

The children in First class begin the Literacy Lift Off programme today and we wish them success in the programme over the next few months.

On behalf of the staff I would like to congratulate Mrs Campbell on the birth of  her son.

Reminder: If you haven’t already paid €27.00 for Art & Craft + Insurance (all pupils) and €7.00 for Irish Independent (first to sixth class only) please send in money as soon as possible.

We have a number of jackets which were left here over the summer holidays. If you are missing a child’s jacket please call to the office this week.

Is mise,

Seamus Tansley.
