Dear Parents/Guardians,

Admission for the 2026/2027 School Year

The school will commence accepting applications for the admission to Junior Infants for the 2026/2027 school year on October 1st 2025. The school will cease accepting applications on January 16th 2026. If you have a child starting school in September 2026 please send in an Enrolment Form from October 1st 2025. If you know families that have children starting school in September 2026 please make them aware of these dates. SNA Appreciation Day

This Thursday (September 25th) is SNA Appreciation Day. Our two SNA’s Tara and Nicola do an exceptional job on a daily basis and we are proud and lucky to have them both in our school. We thank Tara and Nicola for their dedication and commitment throughout the year and we thank them for supporting the children with additional needs in our school.

Boost to Literacy

We will be starting the ‘Boost to Literacy’ reading initiative with the pupils in 2nd class this week. The children will be given a ‘Reading Record Report’ sheet that needs to be signed on a daily basis by a parent/guardian.

Girls’ Gaelic Football

Our Girls’ Gaelic Football team are playing in Skryne GAA this Thursday (25th) at 11.30am – leaving the school at 11.10am. Please arrange a lift for your child if you can’t attend yourself.

Boys’ Gaelic Football

Our Boys’ Gaelic Football team are playing in Skryne GAA this Friday (26th) at 10am – leaving the school at 9.40am. Please arrange a lift for your child if you can’t attend yourself.

GUM SHIELDS ARE COMPULSORY FOR THE BOYS’ AND GIRLS’ GAELIC FOOTBALL GAMES

Swimming

The children in 3rd – 6th class have their second swimming lesson in Navan Swimming Pool tomorrow (Tuesday 23rd). If you haven’t already paid please do so via the Aladdin Link or send in an envelope with your child’s name on the envelope.

Gaelic Football Training

Gaelic Football Training with Caroline will continue for all classes on Fridays.

Attendance

Attendance Figures this year so far are higher than last year. Well done to all families. However, if your child has flu or cold symptoms please don’t send him/her to school.
