The children really enjoyed the activities for our Active School Week. Various classes took part in dance, rounders, badminton and athletics. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, orienteering for Fifth and Sixth classes was cancelled. We hope this will be rescheduled for some time in May. A big thanks to Teresa Mangan who gave of her time on Wednesday and Friday to train some girls in rounders and badminton. We thank Teresa for her continued support.
The children in Second class will receive their First Communion in Rathfeigh Church on Saturday May 13th at 11.00a.m. They will have the following practices:
Tuesday 9th May 1.40 to 2.40p.m. leaving the school at 1.30p.m.
Thursday 11th May 1.40 to 2.40p.m. leaving the school at 1.30p.m.
There may be a practice on Friday 12th if the need arises.
We want some children in Fourth, Fifth and Sixth classes to sing in the choir for the First Communion. Please sign the slip below as to whether your child will be able to sing in the choir on Saturday May 13th. (Please return the slip tomorrow).
The Boys football team are playing Castlejordan tomorrow in Skryne. We will be leaving the school at 12.15 and will need help with lifts.
The Girls football team are playing Boyerstown on Thursday May 4th in Skryne. We will be leaving the school at 1.30p.m. and will need help with lifts.
