A Thuisti,
Ms O’Reilly is our new part-time Resource Teacher. She will teach two days a week (Tuesdays & Thursdays). We wish her every success in her time here in Rathfeigh.
Our boys and girls Gaelic football teams had great victories last week both against Ardcath. It was a great start to the year and we wish them luck in their remaining games. The boys play in Wilkinstown tomorrow (Tuesday). We will be leaving the school at 12.55p.m. The girls play Boyerstown in Dunderry GFC Pitch on Thursday and will leave the school at 1.15p.m. We will need help with lifts.
Literacy Lift Off for second class pupils starts this week. The children have been pre-tested and we are confident that they will make great progress over the next few weeks.
Pupils in Fourth, Fifth and Sixth classes will receive their first Irish Independent and Supplement this Wednesday. We hope it results in the children having greater interest in local, national and world events. The cost per pupil for the year is €8.00.
Gaelic Football coaching continues this Tuesday for all classes. Tag-Rugby coaching continues on Wednesday for Fourth, Fifth and Sixth classes.
All children go home this Wednesday at 1.40p.m. to facilitate a staff meeting. Please note there is no school bus.
I would like to remind parents that birthday invitations are not allowed to be given out inside the school grounds.
First Communion will take place on Saturday 14th May in Rathfeigh Church at 11.00a.m.
