Sixth class pupils will celebrate their Confirmation in Skryne Church on Sunday March 26th at 1.00p.m. They will have two practices next week on Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd from 9.30 to 11.00a.m. We need pupils in Third, Fourth and Fifth classes to sing in the choir for the Confirmation. Please sign the slip below confirming whether you are available to sing in the choir on Confirmation Day. There is a choir practice this Wednesday (March 15th) and next week on Thursday (March 23rd) from 9.30 to 11.00a.m. in Skryne Church. We will need help with lifts. If you are unable to give your child a lift to any of the practices please make arrangements with another parent/guardian.
Our Boys’ 7-a-side Gaelic Football team have a blitz tomorrow in Skryne football pitch. They will be playing four teams. We will be leaving the school at 2.10p.m. and should be finished shortly after 4.00p.m.
Gaelic football coaching with Eddie continues tomorrow during school for all pupils. A big congratulations to Emily in fifth class who has been chosen to play at half time in the Meath/Fermanagh match in Páirc Taillteann on March 26th. We hope she has an enjoyable and fun day.
All children in First to Sixth classes will be doing standardised tests in English and Maths from May 22nd to May 26th. All children must be in attendance for these tests.
There was a Board of Management meeting on March 6th. Please find attached the Agreed Report from this meeting.
To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day we have a ceilí for the children in the school this Thursday. The children should wear green, white and orange to school. It is a non-uniform day and healthy lunches are optional (Nut Free Please).
The school will close at 1.40p.m. for all children. There is no school bus. The school is closed on Friday 17th and Monday 20th. We wish everyone an enjoyable and safe St. Patrick’s Day.
