Our ceilí in the school last Friday was a great success. All children from Junior to Sixth class took part with smiles on their faces. I would like to thank all the children for making the day so enjoyable and memorable. A big thanks to Mrs Campbell and Mrs Vaughan for teaching the children the dances for the ceilí.
There is a Pre-Communion Mass practice this Friday (20th) at 11.00a.m. in Rathfeigh Church for Second Class pupils. We will need help with lifts.
Second class pupils will receive their First Confession in Rathfeigh Church on Thursday March 26th at 7.30p.m. We wish them well as they prepare for their second sacrament.
The Tag Rugby Blitz for fifth and sixth class pupils was cancelled last week due to the inclement weather. This will be rescheduled for a later date.
We hope to have a Jumble Sale on Friday March 27th. We are looking for people to donate books, cd’s, toys etc. If you would like to donate items please do so by Wednesday March 25th.
Fifth and Sixth class pupils will be taking part in the ‘Education Day at Fairyhouse Racecourse’ on Tuesday 24th March. The aim of the day is to educate the younger generations about the business of horse racing and to show them what happens behind the scenes at the races. The children will be leaving the school at 9.00a.m. and returning at 12 noon. Please send in €5.00 to cover cost of bus.
The second part of the Voluntary Contribution is now due. Payments can be made by cash or cheque (€70.00). Please make cheques payable to B.O.M. Rathfeigh School.
There is Credit Union in the school on Friday.
The Board of Management meeting was cancelled last week. It will now take place tomorrow night.
School closes at 12 noon on Friday March 27th for the Easter holidays and will re-open on Monday April 13th.
