This week is Enrolment Week. Please fill out an enrolment form this week if your child will be starting in September. If you know people who may be thinking of enrolling their children in the school please get them to contact the school.
A big congratulations to all our teams who participated in the Tara and District Credit Union Quiz last week. They all represented the school very well and we are all proud of their great efforts. One of our Under 11 teams were victorious and are now through to the Chapter Final in a few weeks. We wish them the best of luck in the final. Thanks to Mrs Vaughan for preparing all the teams so well.
Tomorrow is Internet Safety Day. The theme this year is “Be the change: Unite for a better internet” As parents we must ensure that our children are safe while they are online. We need to keep up to date with the apps and games that children are using and constantly monitor their internet usage. Webwise.ie can be accessed through the ‘Links’ section of the schools website has good advice for parents e.g. social networking tips, modelling good behaviour, online gaming, advice for parents on screentime. We will be doing lessons this week in school about Internet Safety.
There is a forum for parents/guardians on Tuesday February 14th from 2.40p.m. to 3.40p.m. on the school uniform. This is a great opportunity for parents/guardians to voice their opinions on our school uniform.
If you would like to discuss any aspect of your child’s education please make an appointment to see the class teacher. For health and safety and professional reasons teachers are unable to discuss matters with parents/guardians while classes are in progress.
Please find attached the Agreed Report from the Board of Management meeting that took place on January 23rd.
The school will be closed on February 23rd and February 24th for the mid- term break.
Booking forms from Circus Photography were given to the First Communion and Confirmation classes today. If you wish to have individual / family photographs taken on either of the above days please contact Suzanne in Circus Photography to book a time.
