We had an assembly last Friday to celebrate Internet Safety Day and to acknowledge the great efforts of all the pupils in the recent handwriting competition. All the children put a great effort into improving their handwriting and congratulations to all the pupils who won prizes in the competition.

There is a forum tomorrow after school for parents/guardians from 2.40p.m. to 3.40p.m. to discuss the school uniform.

We are having an Active School Week this week with all classes participating in physical activity. A big thanks to Naoise, Ally and Kate for organising the dance class for the whole school on Friday as part of the 10 @ 10 Operation Transformation promotion of physical activity. The children should wear their tracksuits to school every day this week.

Our Under 11 quiz team will take part in the Credit Union Chapter Final on Friday March 3rd at 7.30p.m. in The Pillo Hotel Ashbourne. We wish them the best of luck in the final.

All classes will be starting the Stay Safe Programme after the mid-term break. Please find attached the information leaflet for parents/guardians. More information on the content of the programme can be found on www.staysafe.ie.

First, Second and Fifth classes have their fifth swimming lesson this Wednesday.

First Confession for Second class pupils will take place in Rathfeigh Church on Wednesday April 5th at 7.30p.m.

The school is closed for mid-term break on Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th February.

There is a meeting for parents/guardians of Senior Infant pupils on Tuesday February 21st from 1.15p.m. to 1.40p.m. for an overview of the Literacy Lift Off Reading Programme.

Junior Infants will have a Vision and Hearing Screening on Monday 20th February. Children were given a consent form today. Please complete and return the form to the school tomorrow.
