A Thuisti,
The Department of Education has developed an electronic individualised database of primary school pupils, called the Primary Online Database (POD). POD will collect individual information on each pupil. Please find attached the data required on each pupil. Page 1 is classified as Non-Sensitive Personal Data while page 2 is classified as Sensitive Parsonal Data. The Sensitive Personal Data requires your written consent. Please return the form by Wednesday 28th January.
First, Third and Fourth classes have their fourth swimming lesson this Wednesday. If you can help out at the pool please let Helen know tomorrow. The final two sessions are on Monday February 2nd and Monday February 9th.
This is Catholic Schools Week. The theme is ‘Catholic Schools Called to Serve’. We will be having an assembly this Thursday (January 29th) to celebrate Catholic Schools Week.
The motto on our school website is “Great Oaks From Little Acorns Grow”. A number of years ago, before the extension to our school, parents created a fantastic piece of artwork on this motto for the school. Unfortunately during the building work for the extension, this piece of artwork ‘disappeared’. We are looking for parents who would be interested in creating a similar piece of artwork for our school. If you are interested we would be delighted to hear from you. We feel it would work very well with the “Seed of Learning” sculpture already in the school.
There is no Credit Union this week as the school is closed on Friday (January 30th).
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
