Parents’ Association Fundraiser
The annual Parents’ Association Fundraisers are invaluable to our school. This year, more than other years, our fundraiser is vitally important as we didn’t have a fundraiser before the Summer Holidays due to Covid-19.All parents/guardians were sent an e-mail last week with the ‘Flyer’ for the ‘Cash for Clobber’ fundraiser. The event will take place this Friday and Saturday at the following times:
Friday 11th December 8.45a.m. to 10.00a.m.
Friday 11th December 1.30p.m. to 3.00p.m.
Saturday 12th December 10.00a.m. to 3.00p.m.
So please fill refuse sacks with any unwanted clean clothing, bedding, curtains, shoes and handbags (check flyer more details). Please forward the e-mail with the ‘Flyer’ to neighbours, friends and relatives. The more bags we collect the more money we get for the school.
Christmas Raffle
Our children’s Christmas Raffle organised by our student council is proving to be very popular. Tickets cost €3.00 per strip or two strips for €5.00. Tickets are selling very quickly. Thanks to everyone who donated items for the raffle. The raffle will take place on Tuesday December 22nd during school. There will be two prizes of hampers. We will have one winner in Junior – Second and another winner in Third – Sixth.
Folens Christmas Annuals
All children received a free Christmas Annual last week. The children in all classes are thoroughly enjoying the great mix of puzzles, stories, jokes etc for homework and during class time.
Kris Kindle
The children in 3rd to 6th classes are taking part in ‘Kris Kindle’ in their classes. The children should bring in the gifts towards the end of this week. Due to Covid-19 we will be storing the gifts for over a week before the children open their presents.
