A Thuisti,
As part of the Ireland 2016 State Commemorative Programme our school will be visited this Friday December 4th by a Sergeant from the Defence Forces. During this special ceremony the Proclamation will be read aloud and two pupils from sixth class will read the last verse. A pupil will also be presented with the tricolour. The children will be singing songs and playing tunes on the tin whistle as part of the ceremony. There will be time at the end of the ceremony for photographs to be taken. We would like to invite parents/guardians to this ceremony to celebrate the occasion with us. The ceremony starts at 9.30a.m. and finishes at 10.00a.m. Parents/guardians should be seated in the hall no later than 9.20a.m. All children must wear their full school uniform with tie. Children who have basketball after school can bring their tracksuit in a bag and change during school after the ceremony.
Parent Teacher Meetings take place on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th December. To facilitate this the school will close at 1.15p.m. for all children. On these days meetings will start at 1.30p.m. and the last meeting will be at 3.45p.m. Please indicate a suitable day and time and we will try to accommodate you if possible.
