As part of the Ireland 2016 Commemorative Programme our school will be visited on Friday 4th December by members of the Defence forces. At this special ceremony the National Flag will be presented to the school and an Officer will read the 1916 Proclamation. This is an historic event for the school and we hope all children will be present on the day with their parents/guardians. When we got notification of the time of the visit we will let the Rathfeigh School Community know. Due to this event taking place the Parent/Teacher meetings will now take place on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th December.
We are currently undertaking a self-evaluation of teaching and learning in oral Irish. Please complete the attached School Self-Evaluation Questionnaire for Parents/Guardians and return it to the school before Wednesday November 25th.
Our Christmas Carol Service will take place in the school hall on Tuesday December 22nd during school hours.
Reminder – Gladrags & Handbags fundraising night is taking place this Friday at the RST Centre, Skryne from 8p.m. Ticket sales have been slow, please support as all proceeds will be going towards new and exciting opportunities for our children. Please ‘like’ our Facebook page (Rathfeigh NS Parents Association) and view all our ‘Gladrags’.
