Parent/Teacher Meetings
Parent/Teacher meetings take place next week on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th November from 1.00p.m. to 3.00p.m.Please indicate a suitable day and time and we will try to accommodate you if possible. Please return the slip below by Wednesday 15th.
If these days don’t suit you please contact the class teacher to arrange a suitable day and time. Later this week when we have all the ‘slips’ back the children will be given the day and time of their parent/teacher meeting and they will write it in their school journal. Junior and Senior Infants will get the time of their meetings on a slip of paper. The school will close at 12.45p.m. for all pupils on both days. We ask parents/guardians to collect their child promptly on these days so that meetings can start on time. There will be a school bus on Thursday 24th and Friday 25th at 1.00p.m.
Gaelic Football
Our boys team were defeated in their semi-final last week by a strong Castletown team. Our boys showed great heart and determination throughout the game and they can be extremely proud of their efforts this year.
Science Week
We are celebrating Science Week this week. All classes will be given the opportunity to do science activities/experiments at school and at home during the week.
Book Fair
Our annual Book Fair has arrived and will be open from Tuesday 15th – Thursday 17th.
Parents /Guardians are also invited to visit the book fair on the above dates from 8.45 am -9.00 am and from 1.20 pm – 1.40 pm and 2.20 pm -2.40 pm.
During the school day all classes will visit the Book Fair and children can browse and buy books. There are over 200 titles for you and your child to choose from so there’s sure to be a book for everyone.
We will be accepting cash payments if your child wants to bring money to school to buy their book.

Once payment is complete, record your payment reference number and show your payment reference and the name of the book you are purchasing to class teacher.
If a book is out of stock we can order a copy which should arrive before the end of the week.

Badminton
All classes started badminton lessons with Teresa Mangan last week. The cost for five weeks is €5.00 per child. If you haven’t paid for these lessons please send in €5.00 in an envelope this week.
