A Thuisti,
We had our Jumble Sale last Friday. It was very well organised by our sixth class pupils on their final day. We collected €350.00 which will be used to purchase P.E. equipment for the new school year. We wish all our sixth class pupils the best of luck in secondary school and the best of luck for the future.
Our Talent Show last week was very enjoyable. A big thanks to everyone who participated in the show. We have very talented children in the school and it was great to see the children express themselves with confidence.
Mrs Campbell and Mrs Berrill met the third and fourth class children for the new school year today. I am confident that the children and teachers will have a very enjoyable and successful year.
I would like to thank the Parents’ Association for their huge contribution to the school this year. They worked tirelessly for the benefit of the school for which we are really grateful. We thank them for their support.
If you haven’t paid for copies, folders and journals for next year please send in money tomorrow. Book Rental deposits are also due.
We had a Board of Management meeting on June 20th. Please find attached the Agreed Report from that meeting. Please also find attached the school calendar for the 2016/17 school year.
The Parents’ Association are collecting all rental books tomorrow. Please make sure your child brings all these books to school. These books will be used next year as part of the book rental scheme.
The school closes for the summer holidays tomorrow at 12.00 noon and re-opens on Tuesday 30th August. There is a school bus. I would like to wish the teachers, Helen, John, Parents/Guardians and all the children a safe and enjoyable summer holidays.
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
