Gaelic Football Coaching/Badminton
Eddie Mc Cormack will be doing gaelic football coaching with all children from 3rd to 6th classes for the next few weeks. Damien Sheridan will be coaching the children in Juniors to Second classes. This will form part of the P.E. curriculum. Teresa Mangan has kindly offered to do badminton with Fifth and Sixth classes on Thursdays for the next few weeks.
Pre-Communion Mass
There is a Pre-Communion Mass for Second class pupils this Saturday in Rathfeigh Church at 6.00p.m. There is a practice for this Mass on Thursday (25th ) at 1.30p.m. The children will be leaving the school at 1.25p.m. We will need help with lifts. Please make arrangements with another parent/guardian if you can’t bring your child to the practice.
Rounders’ Photographs
In November the Boys’ Rounders’ team became Meath Champions and the Girls’ Rounders’ team were losing finalists. Circus Photography will be visiting the school tomorrow (Tuesday) to take team photographs. Parents/guardians will have the option to buy these photographs.
Credit Union Quiz
The Tara & District Credit Union Quiz will take place next Monday (January 29th) in Skryne School hall at 6.30p.m. Mrs Vaughan had a quiz last week for pupils in Third to Sixth classes. A big congratulations to all pupils who got on the teams. We will have two Under 11 and two Under 13 teams representing the school and we wish them well. A big thanks to Mrs Vaughan for preparing the children for the quiz.
School Closures
The school is closed on Friday 26th January and Monday 29th January.
Board of Management Meeting
There is a Board of Management meeting tonight in the school.
First Communion and Confirmation Photographs.
Children in Second and Sixth classes brought home a form from Circus Photography last Monday.
If you wish to have First Communion or Confirmation photographs taken by Circus Photography please contact Suzanne to book a time in order to avoid disappointment.
Vaccinations
M.M.R. & 4 in 1 Vaccinations for Junior Infants will take place in the school on Tuesday 20th February 2018. The children were given Vaccination Consent Forms last Monday. Please return completed forms to the office as soon as possible.
Homework Club
Due to the lack of numbers the Homework Club has finished for the moment. If there is sufficient interest later in the year we will resume the Homework Club.
“Batteries for Barretstown”
If you have batteries to recycle you can put them in the boxes provided at reception. The money raised from this will help children and families affected by serious illness.
Mrs Long will be absent for the duration of this week.
