A Thuisti,
This Thursday (October 10th) is Tree Day (Lá na gCrann). I would encourage parents and children to log onto the website www.treeday.ie. The website has crosswords, puzzles, tips for helping the environment and a Tree Poster whcich can be downloaded. Children in all classes should be able to recognise the leaves of teh Native Trees of Ireland.
This Friday (October 11th) is GOAL Jersey Day. We would like the children to wear their favourite sports jersey to school. The aim of GOAL Jersey Day is to make the children more aware of the plight of the very poor in our world. We would be very grateful if everyone brought in €1.00. This money will be given to GOAL to help them continue their great work in the developing world.
On Friday (October 11th) fifth and sixth classes will be visiting Ashbourne Library as part of the Meath County Council Children’s Book Festival. This event is freee but the children must pay €5.00 for the bus.
The Girls Gaelic Football team are playing Kilmessan in Tuesday (October 8th). We will be leaving the school at 2.40pm.
