20th June, 2016.
A Thuisti,
Today is Mrs O’Reilly’s final day in our school. Shana has been with us since September and she made a huge contribution in her time here. We were fortunate to have her on our staff and I know the children will really miss her. I would like to thank her for her commitment and enthusiasm to her work and I wish her every success in the future.
We have our Talent Show in the school tomorrow. It is a non- uniform day for all pupils. We are hoping to run off a Soccer Competition tomorrow and Wednesday to coincide with the European Championships. All classes will be participating.
Our Jumble Sale takes place on Friday (June 24th). If you would like to donate items for the Jumble Sale please bring them in by Wednesday and leave them in the Sixth class room.
The Sixth Class Graduation Mass takes place this Thursday (June 23rd) at 7.30p.m.
Both our boys’ and girls’ rounders’ teams were in finals last week. Although both teams lost in the finals we were very proud of their efforts and sportsmanship during the year. A big thanks to Mrs O’Reilly for training the girls team.
Mrs Campbell and Mrs Berrill who are Job Sharing in third and fourth class next year will be introducing themselves to their new class next Monday.
Under the Education (Welfare ) Act 2000 schools are obliged to report to the National Educational Welfare Board all pupils who are absent from school for a cumulative total of twenty days or more. I will inform you by letter if your child has been absent for twenty days or more.
There is a Board of Management meeting tonight. An agreed report from this meeting will be given to parents/guardians during the week.
Reminder: If you haven’t already sent in money for copies and book rental please send it in as soon as possible.
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
