Dear Parents/Guardians

Swimming

The children in 3rd-6th class have their first swimming lesson of the school year in Navan Swimming Pool tomorrow (Tuesday). They will be leaving the school by bus at 9.20am and returning to the school at 11.30am (approx.). The cost of the swimming lessons is €60 (including bus) which can be paid via the Aladdin link. A big thanks to the Parents’ Association for paying €500 towards the cost of the bus which reduces the expense for families.

Please note: Children need to bring in their swimming bag – swimming togs, swimsuit, goggles, hat, towel, swim shoes (optional), brush.

Gaelic Coaching

The children had the first Gaelic Football Coaching session with Caroline last Friday. This will continue for all classes on Fridays until Halloween.

Attendances

The attendance figures so far this year are high and we aim to have attendance figures in the mid-nineties throughout the school year. The Statement of Strategy for School Attendance Policy will be reviewed at the next Board of Management Meeting.

Board of Management

There is a Board of Management meeting in the school this Thursday evening.

Gaelic Football

We thank Felim and Mrs Kennedy for training the boys’ team this year and Ms O’Donoghue for training the girls’ team. All the children on the football panels are enjoying the training and games this year and we wish them a safe and happy year as they participate competitively against other teams in Meath.

Healthy Kids

We have been in contact with ‘Healthy Kids’ to see if they are returning this year. They have informed us that they intend to return in early October. We will keep parents/guardians informed of developments.

Is Mise,

Seamus Tansley
