Sports Day/Relay Marathon
The Relay Marathon which was due to take place last Thursday takes place this Wednesday to coincide with our Sports’ Day. It was cancelled last week due to the inclement weather. The children have been given a specific colour to wear for Sports’ Day. If some children don’t have the specific colour they can use the bibs from the PE Hall. We wish everyone an enjoyable Sports’ Day.

Sixth Class Graduation
One of the highlights of the school year is the Sixth Class Graduation. It will take place on Wednesday June 25th at 7pm. We are hoping to have the ceremony at the rear of the school (weather permitting). We wish the 6th Class children and Mrs Kennedy the best of luck as they prepare for the occasion.
Jumble Sale
We are having a Jumble Sale on Monday June 23rd. If you would like to donate items (in good condition) for the Jumble Sale e.g. toys, games, books, sweets etc, please send them into the school this week. Our 5th and 6th Class pupils will also organise a few fun games for the children to participate in. The children can bring in a few Euro to spend on the day.
Track and Field Championships
We had 20 children participating in the Cumann na mBunscol Track and Field Championships in Claremont Stadium Navan last Tuesday. We thank Ms O’ Donoghue and Mrs Kennedy for supervising the children at the event. The feedback from the teachers was excellent as all the children behaved impeccably on the day. All the children enjoyed participating at the event and it was the first times for some children to represent the school. Well done to them all. Congratulations to Lucia, Nicola and Jane who won medals at the event.
Time Capsules
We had great fun opening the 2010 Time Capsules for the 70th Anniversary celebrations. Most of the capsules were in excellent condition. Unfortunately, two of the eight capsules were beyond retrieving! The children put in great work over the last few weeks creating their work for the new Time Capsules which will, hopefully be opened in another ten years or so.
Talent Show
We are having a Talent Show during school on Tuesday June 24th. This is a great opportunity for the children in all classes to go on stage and do a little performance either individually or in a group e.g. sing a song, play a musical instrument, recite a poem, tell a joke etc etc. There is no obligation on any child to perform although please give your child some encouragement to perform.
Is Mise,
