A Thuisti,
Our 60th Anniversary celebrations on Friday was a great success. I would like to thank everyone who made the effort to come on the night. Thanks to the Parents’ Association for all their help. To coincide with the anniversary we have produced a book titled “Come In Small, Go Out Tall”. All children from Junior Infants to Sixth Class drew a picture, wrote a poem or a story for the book. It’s a fantastic book and we have it on sale this week for just €5.00. It’s a ‘must-have’ for each family.
Ms Cullinane, our part-time Resource Teacher, finishes this Thursday. She was a fantastic addition to our staff and will be really missed. She has a fantastic future ahead in the teaching profession and I wish her success in St. Mary’s Trim next year.
Under the Education (Welfare) Act, 2000 schools are obliged to report to the National Educational Welfare Board all pupils who are absent from school for a cumulative total of twenty days or more. I will inform you by letter if your child has been absent for twenty days or more.
The end of year Graduation Mass for sixth class pupils is on Wednesday night at 7.30p.m. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their hard work and commitment in their eight years in Rathfeigh. We wish them the very best of luck for the future.
Reminder – If you haven’t already paid for Copies, Homework Journal and Folders for next year please send in money tomorrow. Book Rental deposit (or full payment) for the next school year is also due.
The school closes for the summer holidays on Thursday at 12.00 noon. There is a school bus. We will re-open after the holidays on Thursday 28th August. We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable summer holiday.
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
