Dear Parents/Guardians,
70th Anniversary
Parents/Guardians are invited to the school this Friday at 12.45pm (slight time change) to listen to the children in 1st – 6th class perform a medley of songs as part of our 70th Anniversary celebrations. The children have been practicing hard for the last few weeks so hopefully a member of each family can attend. This will be followed by the “Parents’ Association Cake Sale Fundraiser.” Parents/Guardians and the children will have a great array of cakes and buns to choose from. This is an important fundraiser so please give as generously as you can.
Earlier in the day the children will attend a Mass in the school hall. We thank Fr. Thomas for giving his time to attend. We will also be opening the Time Capsules (2010) at the rear of the school. Over the course of this week the children will be preparing their Time Capsules which will be opened in another ten years or so.
New Junior Infants
We are inviting our new Junior Infants and their Parents/Guardians to the school tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1.15pm. To accommodate their visit the present Junior/Senior Infants will be going home at 12 Noon.
Healthy Kids Afterschool will be on for this week only on Tuesday 3rd June but will resume back to normal next Wednesday.
School Start Time
As per our Statement of Strategy for School Attendance Policy, the doors to the school open @ 8.50am. The Board of Management doesn’t accept responsibility for children on the school grounds before this time. Under no circumstances should a parent/guardian leave the school before the doors to the school opens.
