Girls Rounders’ Final
Our girls’ rounders’ team played really well in last week’s county final. The game had to be abandoned in the fourth innings with the teams level due to a serious injury to one of the Oristown players. The parents and teachers in Oristown would like to thank everyone from Rathfeigh who assisted in any way prior to the ambulance arriving. The injured player is making a speedy recovery. The final will be replayed on Tuesday June 11th at 3.15p.m. in Navan O’Mahony’s. We are expecting another brave and competitive performance from our girls.
Parents’ Association Marathon Relay
We had our School Marathon Relay this morning. It was a great success and the children thoroughly enjoyed the day despite the weather.
If some children didn’t return Sponsorship Cards they must send them in tomorrow.
There will be an assembly on Monday morning and the class that collected the most money will receive a prize as well as a prize for the child that collected the most money.
If children have a yogo mat please bring it into school tomorrow
Hurling Training
This Thursday is the last hurling session for this school year. Aileen has done a great job training the children this year and we thank Kilmessan Hurling Club for facilitating this in our school.
‘Map of Meath’ Art Project
Róisín has put a huge effort in completing the ‘Map of Meath’ project on the school hall wall at the back of the school. The children have enjoyed painting it and it looks really impressive.
