Our Girls’ Rounders’ Team are through to the final after beating Rathmolyon in a close game. The final is due to be held on Thursday June 11th (provisionally). We wish them the best of luck in the finals.
Our Boys’ Rounders’ Team missed out on the finals after losing to Summerhill in the semi- finals. They played really well and we are very proud of their efforts this year.
Our Parents’ Association have organised two Health and Fitness days for all children in the school. Today the children did yoga and dance. Tomorrow they have classes on Dental Care, Healthy Eating and Fitness and also Kick Boxing. We thank the Parents’ Association for organising these fun days.
All classes are going on school tours this Friday (June 5th). The departure times for buses in the morning and the approximate returning times are below.
Junior, Senior, First and Second leaving at 9.00a.m. and returning to school at 1.30p.m.
Third and Fourth leaving at 8.45a.m. and returning to school at 4.00p.m.
Fifth and Sixth leaving at 9.00a.m. and returning to school at 4.00p.m.
Laura O’Keane is doing a Music Workshop in all classes on Thursday June 11th. This promises to be an enjoyable and exciting day for the children. The children will also be making a musical instrument with shoe boxes and elastic bands. All children must bring in a shoe box (with their name on the inside) by Monday June 8th.
The parents/guardians of the new Junior Infants are invited to the school next Tuesday (June 9th) from 1.30 to 2.30p.m. To facilitate this the present Junior and Senior Infants will go home at 12.30p.m.
The Annual Parents’ Association Family Fun Day takes place this Sunday June 7th from 1.00 to 5.00p.m. Please support this fun fundraising event.
