This week is European Week of Sport. It aims to promote sport and physical activity. Every day this week (except Wednesday) we will have fun physical activities during school. The children should wear their tracksuits to school Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Zumba dancing, organised by the Parents’ Association, takes place during school this Thursday. The cost is €10.00 for seven lessons. This will be part of the P.E. curriculum.
Circus Photography are visiting the school this Wednesday for Individual, Family and Junior Infants class photograph. If you haven’t already returned the form please send it in tomorrow. All children will wear their full school uniform on Wednesday.
The Boys’ and Girls’ Rounders’ teams are playing in Castletown this Friday 16th. The boys will be leaving the school at 11.15a.m. The game should be finished at 1.30p.m. The girls will be leaving the school at 12.45p.m. Their game should be finished at 3.30p.m. We will need help with lifts.
Art and Craft (€20 per pupil ) and Insurance (€8 per pupil) is now due. Please send in the money in an envelope.
Gymnastics begin on Wednesday application forms were sent home last Thursday. If you wish to book a place please send in Booking Form and €80 to the school tomorrow. Please put Gymnastics money in a separate envelope to other school payments. Cheques to be made payable to Rathfeigh Parents’ and Friends Association.
Every Wednesday for 35 weeks (starting September 14th) the Sixth class pupils will be getting the Irish Independent with an educational supplement. The cost is €10.00 per pupil.
This Sunday is the All-Ireland Final between Mayo and Dublin. Children who support Mayo or Dublin can wear the county colours to school on Friday.
