First Confession
The second class pupils will receive their First Confession this Wednesday at 7pm in Rathfeigh Church. We thank Mrs Campbell for preparing the children for their second sacrament. We wish the children well as they prepare for Wednesday evening.
Girls’ Football
Our Girls’ Gaelic Football Team are into Round 2 of the 7-a-side competition which takes place this Thursday (13th) in Donaghmore Ashbourne GAA pitch. They will be leaving the school at 10.20am. They will be playing three games and should be finished around 12.15pm. Please arrange a lift for your child if you can’t attend yourself. We wish the girls the best of luck on Thursday.
St. Patrick’s Day Ceilí
We will have our annual Ceilí in the school hall this Friday to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. The children are invited to come to school dressed in the Irish colours. They will be learning a few Irish Ceilí dances and songs over the course of the week. We thank Mrs Vaughan who will be teaching the Ceilí dances to the children during the week. Healthy lunches are optional this Friday. The school will close for all children at 1.40pm.
Seachtain na Gaeilge
We are celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge this week. We will be encouraging the children to speak Irish more over the course of the day with a variety of fun activities. Please encourage your child to speak a “cúpla focal” at home too.
RST Newsletter

Swimming
The third swimming session for the children in 1st-4th class takes place this Friday.
Rugby Coaching
Our final rugby coaching session takes place tomorrow for the children in 1st-6th class.
Teaching Placement
Ms Dunphy starts her Teaching Placement in Junior/Senior Infants this week. It will last for five weeks. We wish her well in her time in Rathfeigh.
School Closure
The school is closed on Monday March 17th.
