A Thuisti,

Girls’ 7-a-side Football

Our girls’ team are playing today in the 7-a-side blitz and we wish them well in the competition. Thanks to Ms. Reynolds for training the girls.

Boys’ 7-a-side Football

Our Boys’ team are playing on Wednesday in Skryne at 12.15p.m. We will be leaving the school at 12 noon. The games should be finished at 1.30p.m. We will need help with lifts. Please arrange a lift for your child if you can’t attend yourself.

St. Patrick’s Céilí

Wednesday is a non-uniform day. The children should come to school dressed in the Irish colours as we are having our annual céilí in the hall during school. Mrs Vaughan has been teaching the children in all classes the dances over the last week so everyone should be ready to partake in the dances on Wednesday. We will also have the children playing the tin whistle and singing Irish songs on the day. The children should be practicing ‘Amhrán na bhFiann’ at home over the next few nights as we hope to have a rousing rendition of the National Anthem on Wednesday. Healthy lunches on Wednesday are optional ( NUT FREE).

School Website

Pictures of the children during World Book Day and the visit of the ‘lambs’ have been uploaded to the school website. Thanks to Kieran Hennessy for all his work with the school website.

Dogs Trust

We will be visited on Wednesday morning by the ‘Dogs Trust’ They will be talking to the children in all classes how to take care of dogs etc. We look forward to their visit.

School Closures

The school will close at 1.40p.m. this Wednesday for ALL classes. Please note there is a school bus on Wednesday at 1.40p.m.

The school is closed Thursday 16th and Friday 17th for the St. Patrick’s weekend. The school will re-open on Monday March 20th.

‘Zeeko Education’

We will be visited on Monday March 20th by Zeeko Education. ‘Zeeko’ are very experienced in talking to primary school children about cyberbullying, digital footprint, inappropriate content, excessive internet use etc. The promotion of positive internet behaviour should benefit the children in the school and we ask parents/guardians to check out resources on Zeeko.ie which may be of benefit.

First Confession

The children in 2nd class will have their First Confession in Rathfeigh Church on Wednesday March 22nd at 7.00p.m.

Computers

All classes had their final computer lesson with Colm today. We thank Colm as the lessons again this year were very beneficial to the children. If you haven’t paid for the lessons please do so by Wednesday March 15th.
