Dear Parents/Guardians,
5th & 6th Class Essay Competition
5th & 6th class recently took part in a competition run by Nina Carberry MEP, where they had to write an essay outlining what they would do for our local area if they became an MEP. All the class worked very hard at their essays both in school and at home. We have been notified that Niall O’Rourke in 5th class has jointly won the competition with 3 other children. There were hundreds of entries across the Midlands-North-West constituency. Niall has won a trip to Brussels with his parents, and will be shown around the European Parliament by Nina Carberry. Well done to Niall and to all our entrants!
Credit Union Quiz
One of our Under 11 Quiz teams were victorious in the first round quiz in Skryne last week. They are through to the next round which takes place in the Lakeside Manor Hotel, Virginia on Friday 6th March at 7.30pm. We wish them the best of luck.
