Tara & District Credit Union Quiz
We have six teams representing the school this evening in Skryne N.S. for the Tara & District Credit Union Quiz and we wish them all the best of luck. Thanks to Mrs Vaughan for preparing the children for the quiz.
Tag Rugby Training
The children in 3rd-6th class had their first of four rugby training sessions today with Barbara from Ashbourne Rugby Club. We are hoping that the children will be taking part in a Rugby blitz later on in the school year in Ashbourne.
Safer Internet Day
Tomorrow is Safer Internet Day which this year is based around the theme ‘AI Aware: Safe, Smart and in Control’. As parents we have a major role in creating a safer internet for our children. It is advisable for parents to log onto webwise.ie regularly throughout the year to keep up to date with advice for parents on safer internet usage for children.
Skip n Rope
Skip n Rope is an Irish business focused on all things skipping. We have acquired the services of Skip n Rope to visit the school Thursday for skipping workshops with all classes. We thank our Parents’ Association for sponsoring this event from fundraising funds.
Pancake Tuesday
We will be celebrating Pancake Tuesday next week 17th February. The children can bring in pancakes to school on the day and we will have a mini party for all the children in the school hall.
School Closure
The school will be closed for midterm break on Thursday 19th & Friday 20th February.
