A Thuisti,

Gaelic Football coaching continues this Tuesday for all classes. Please remind the children to wear their tracksuits and runners.

First, Second and Third classes have their second swimming lesson in Navan this Wednesday. If any parents/guardians can help out at the pool please let Helen know tomorrow.

The sixth class pupils have a Pre-Confirmation Mass Practice in Skryne Church this Friday (22nd) at 1.30p.m. We will be leaving the school at 1.20p.m. We will need help with lifts.

Ashbourne Community Gardaí are holding an Internet Safety Poster Competition for sixth class pupils in local schools. The winner gets to take their whole class to Tayto Park. We wish our sixth class pupils the best of luck in the competition. The closing date is January 25th.

We will be introducing the ‘Friends for Life’ programme in second and third classes during February. This is a ten week school-based positive mental health programme that promotes resilience and reduces anxiety in children. It gives children life skills which will help them to cope better with challenging and anxiety provoking situations. The Parents’ Association has kindly paid for the workbooks that will be used in the programme and we thank them for their support.

There is Credit Union in the school on Friday.

Reminder – The school will be closed on Friday January 29th.

Is mise,

Seamus Tansley.

Priomh Oide.
