CPR and AED (Defibrillator) Course
A number of parents and staff completed this course last Saturday. A defibrillator will be installed at the front of the school after Christmas (January/February).
Jersey Sponsorship
Paul Copeland and Val Clarke have very generously decided to sponsor new Boys’ and Girls’ School Jerseys. We thank them for their generosity and it is a lovely gift to receive before Christmas. We hope these jerseys will be worn with pride by many children for years to come. A big thanks also to the many parents who offered to pay a contribution towards the jerseys.
Homework Club
We are trialing a Homework Club for the next two weeks on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. If you would like your child to have a place in the Homework Club please contact Helen in the office tomorrow.
Badminton 6th Class
Sixth class pupils are visiting the National Indoor Arena on Wednesday. The children are going by bus and the cost is €11.00. Please send in money in an envelope .
Christmas Raffle
All families will be given books of raffle tickets for our annual Christmas Raffle which will take place in the school hall on Friday December 22nd after the Christmas Carol Service. Our Parents’ Association have done an amazing job in getting people to sponsor prizes. The prizes this year are fantastic and are the best prizes we have ever had!
Christmas Annuals
Folens Christmas Annuals are available from the office for €4.00. If you wish to buy one please send money in an envelope.
School Attendance
The attendance rate in the school for November was 97%. Well done to all.
Skyview4U Mobile Planetarium
Skyview 4U mobile planetarium will visit the school on Wednesday 13th December. This is like a mini mobile cinema in a dome in which the children will view short films e.g. space and shapes, trees, and the night sky. The cost is €3.00 per pupil. Please send in money in an envelope as soon as possible.
