A Thuisti,
Our Book Fair in the school was a great success. The childens’ enthusiasm for reading books was great to see. We had an assembly on Friday at which the children spoke about the books they read and the posters they drew. I would like to thank Mrs Mc Auley for co-ordinating the Book Fair. A big thanks, also, to Carol Pentony, Fionnuala Lenehan, Teresa Mangan and Laura O’Keane who helped out as cashiers in the hall.
We would like to thank the Parents’ Association for their generous contribution of €500.00 towards the purchase of books for the Literacy Lift Off Reading Programme. The yearly support of the Parents’ Association for the ‘Lift Off’ programme is greatly appreciated. We wish Ciarán Larmer success in his new role as Chairperson of the Parents’ Association.
There is a Pre-Communion Mass practice in Rathfeigh Church this Friday (21st November) at 11.00a.m. We will need help with lifts.
Swimming continues this Wednesday for Second , Fifth and Sixth classes. The bus will be leaving at 12.25p.m.
There is a Board of Management meeting in the school on Thursday November 27th.
