A Thuisti,
There is a Literacy Lift Off feedback meeting this Thursday February 2nd from 1.50p.m. to 2.40p.m. for parents/guardians of pupils in First Class.
This week is Catholic Schools Week. The theme for the week is “Catholic Schools Learning with Pope Francis to care for our common home”. All classes will be participating in activities on the theme during the course of the week.
In early December I sent out a Uniform Questionnaire to parents/guardians. On Tuesday February 14th from 2.40p.m. to 3.40p.m. there will be a forum for parents/guardians to discuss our school uniform. We hope this forum will be well attended. We hope the forum will give everyone a chance to voice their opinions on the school uniform.
There is a Pre-Confirmation Mass practice for sixth class pupils in Skryne Church this Friday February 3rd from 9.30a.m. to 10.30a.m. We will be leaving the school at 9.25a.m. We need help with lifts. If you are unable to bring your child to the practice please make arrangements with another parent/guardian to bring your child.
The third swimming lesson for First, Second and Fifth classes continue this Wednesday. The bus will be leaving the school at 11.55a.m. and returning to the school at 2.00p.m. approximately.
The Tara and District Credit Union Quiz takes place tonight in Skryne School at 6.30p.m. We wish all our teams the best of luck. A big thanks to Mrs Vaughan for preparing the children for the quiz.
I respectfully and urgently request parents/guardians to take more care when parking outside the school. Please do not park on the road opposite the bus bay. Please reverse when parking in front of the school. It is illegal and highly dangerous reversing out on the road. Please don’t do U turns on the road. Changing poor driving habits after a child is seriously injured is too late.
