A Thuisti,
At the last Board of Management meeting on Monday September 19th a review of the school’s Anti-Bullying and Child Protection policies took place. Please find attached the Notifications of the reviews. Both these policies can be viewed on the school’s website. A hard copy can be obtained from the office. All parents/guardians should be aware of the school’s procedures for the investigating, follow –up and recording of bullying behaviour. If there is a report of bullying then the procedures in our Anti-Bullying Policy will be used.
At this time of year secondary schools have ‘Open Nights’ for sixth class pupils thinking of going to a particular secondary school. We are not usually informed by the secondary schools as to when these ’Open Nights’ take place. Parents/Guardians should contact and/or look on the school’s websites for information on these ‘Open Nights’.
Our Girls’ Rounders’ team lost narrowly by to 10 to 8 against Oristown last Friday. They played really well and represented the school with great sportsmanship and respect. We are really proud of their efforts this year.
Literacy Lift Off continues for second class pupils. The programme is a big undertaking and requires a lot of organisation. We thank all the teachers and parents/guardians for continuing to make the programme a great success.
Some parents/guardians continue to reverse out on the road after collecting their children at home time. This puts the safety of the children and other road users at great risk. Please reverse into the car spaces.
The Parents’ Association A.G.M. takes place this Wednesday (28th) at 7.30p.m. in the school.
The children have Homework Off on Thursday.
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
