A Thuisti,
The final Board of Management meeting of the current Board took place last Thursday (September 24th). Over the next few weeks the process for the appointment of the new Board will commence. At the Board meeting last Thursday there was an annual review of the Anti-Bullying and Child Protection Policies. Please find attached the ‘Notifications’ to parents/guardians of these reviews. Also at this meeting the Board of Management ratified the new Swimming Policy for our school. This policy will be on the school website in the next few days. A hard copy of this policy is available on request from the office.
Our Girls’ Gaelic Football Team are looking for their fourth consecutive win when they play Coole this Thursday (October 1st) in Skryne Pitch. They will be leaving the school at 2.30p.m.
Our Boys’ Gaelic Football Team will be hoping to get their second win when they play Oristown this Friday in Skryne. We will be leaving the school at 12.40p.m.
Gaelic Football coaching continues this Tuesday for all classes. Rugby coaching for fourth, fifth and sixth takes place on Wednesday.
The INTO has published ‘Your Child in the Primary School Tips for Parents’. This document is well worth reading as it deals with topics such as school attendance, health and hygiene, healthy eating, bullying, homework etc. This will be on the school website in the next few days and can be found under the heading ‘links’ (rathfeighns.org).
Second and Third classes will be going to Dunshaughlin Library on Tuesday next (October 6th) for storytelling by Author Jackie Burke. This event is free but we ask the children to bring in €4.00 to cover cost of the bus.
Is mise,
Seamus Tansley.
Priomh Oide.
